Welcome to George, where South Africa’s fastest road cyclists will battle for one of the country’s most prestigious national titles.

Hosted by Eden Cycling in partnership with Crank To Crown Events, the 2026 South African National Criterium Championships will take place on 31 October and 1 November 2026, with the Cornerstone Lifestyle Centre in Blancoserving as the official race village and event headquarters.

Situated at the foot of the magnificent Outeniqua Mountains, George offers the perfect combination of world-class racing, spectacular scenery and outstanding hospitality. Riders, teams and supporters can look forward to an exciting championship weekend on a fast, technical circuit that will reward speed, skill, tactical awareness and teamwork.

More than just racing for medals, the National Criterium Championships represent the opportunity to earn the honour of wearing the South African National Champion’s jersey—a symbol of excellence that every cyclist dreams of achieving.

The championships form part of a new era for cycling in the Garden Route, following George being awarded the opportunity to host multiple South African National Championships. This event reflects a shared vision between Cycling South Africa, Eden Cycling, local government, sponsors and the cycling community to grow the sport, create opportunities for future champions and showcase the Garden Route as one of Africa’s premier cycling destinations.
